Estimate was straightforward with no hidden unseen costs, loopholes. The work was started promptly and prefessionally. My yard and vehicles were protected from debris and everything was left clean. I got a few estimates for a re-roof on my home and Taves was not the cheapest pick or the most expensive but they offered the best warranty and they were very thorough in explaining the materials and ventilation needed etc. I would reccommend this company to anyone seeking a repair or re-roof! The 1st meeting with Tony when he came to looking at our leaking roof was an impressive one. He was on the roof cleaning out our overdue gutter and examining the condition of the roof with enthusiasm in the rain. He has identified many problematic parts of the roof which causes the leaks and potential leaks. However, not once did we feel any pressure on any sales pitches or commitment to hire them for the work. He simply patiently listened to our concern and provided us lot of insights and information on different techniques to repair our roof. He has provided us the knowledge to ask intelligent questions when we conduct our own research later on with other contractors and on the internet. That day, Tony stopped our leaks and didn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t charge us a dime. When we finally decided to use them, they have continue to demonstrate their professionalism. Tony has lead a team of knowledgeable crews who were respectful, friendly and professional. The quality of work is excellent. The price for the amount of work done is more than reasonable. Tony has also thrown in many free upgrade quality material for our aging roof. Over-delivered on my expectations. I didn’t just want a new roof, I wanted the whole package. Someone who is trustworthy, will guarantee their work, is clean, won’t have me chasing after them, won’t mess something up and cover it up (or leave it) and of course I want a new roof. I got all this and more. Tony is a straight-up honest guy and told me his guys were good but I didn’t expect just how good. These guys worked hard and finished my roof in 2 days! This included new plywood as well. And it wasn’t a rush job, I was amazed at the attention to detail from adding in extra splashing on a small overhang, painting an old ugly furnace stack to match the roof or spraying down the roof when it was getting too hot. These guys clearly know what they are doing and don’t have time for chit-chat. 🙂 Tony, followed up with a final roof inspection and gave me some further tips on what I can do to prolong the life of my roof. Another plus is the non-prorated warranty which covers any replacement work being done by his company or another approved by the insurer. No worrying about a company disappearing and leaving me hanging. Overall, a great worry free experience. Thanks Tony and Team, I would definitely use you again for my next roofing job. Straightforward, efficient service. Can’t speak for larger installations, but we had a small garden shed (whose roof was leaking) so we needed somebody to do a small simple re-roof quickly and efficiently. We phoned larger companies but they seemed to have minimum charges to come and estimate and wouldn’t take our small job. Taves was able to come by on a weekend (which most companies don’t) and were friendly, fast, and efficient. Drop cloths were placed to collect old roof pieces and nails, and the crew worked quickly and efficiently once here, adding a roof vent for our shed in the process. Ronald, Burnaby

They are quick to send someone over to estimate, however the followup after that was a bit unresponsive. Finally someone came, spend couple hours and fixed our roof. It hasn’t leaked since. Fingers crossed. Syncmas, Vancouver

we called three companies for quotes. only taves called us back and came round two days later with a tarp because we had a leaking roof. he brought round samples of shingles and underlsying materials. he brought round testimonials and business certificates. he did the work very quickly and everything was tidied away and the crew were good with neighbors. we are very happy and have no more leaks. I wanted to re-roof my older home in a similar product to original (cedar), but I was having a very difficult time. The 2 companies that DID come out and give me an estimate to re-roof seemed hell bent on selling me a conversion. Taves came out and actually listened to what I had to say and within a few days came back with a cedar shake sample which we loved! Our roof was leaking and we needed it fixed quickly. We tarped it ourselves and had a few roofing companies give us quotes for a whole new roof. We decided to go with Taves, as they were able to get started the next day, and they were much more reasonable in cost than some others. The job was supposed to take 1 1/2 days, but they had extra guys working on it and had the whole job done and cleaned up before it got dark the first day. Very pleased with how it looked. From the first conversation at the customer service line to the final product, I really felt taken care of with Taves Roofing. I had a few different estimates from other companies but Tony from Taves Roofing was the first to really go through details from the get-go and identify problems he saw right away from his first time assessing my roof. He also seemed extremely knowledgeable and confident in what needed to be done. Knowing I had no prior experience with this sort of thing, he took his time to explain things and be patient with my many questions – even if it was frustrating for him, he didn’t show it! Our situation was difficult to begin with; turned out we had been taken advantage of from our insurance company about 10 years back and everything was falling apart about 15 years too soon since they hired a preferred contractor to do a very poor job. Tony understood the scenario right away and expressed his concern and compassion, especially since he knew we had no idea this had happened and really showed he wanted to help us. My mum is a senior and he identified with us, stating safety and peace if mind would be a top priority going forward. Tony was thorough and came by a few times to assess both the attic and exterior to be thorough and project what was needed for repair and also reviewed warranty and product options all before we even decided to go with him. Once we decided to go ahead, he had areas tarped and checked in regularly to see if things were stable until the replacement was done as we were just at that awkward season change so were waiting for better weather to get things done. During the installation, he kept me informed with any surprises or damage that was uncovered outside of his initial assessment. At the end, he reviewed all details again and made an extra effort to have the area tidied and double checked his team’s work. I’d also like to add his team of workers were professional and worked diligently with a strong work ethic.
